SeventeeSeven Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built The Wretched Companion app as a local, on-device tool for recording and managing solo RPG journals. This privacy policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information We Collect

The Wretched Companion does not collect personal information.

All data you create in the app — including audio recordings, transcriptions, journal entries, and mission data — is stored locally on your device only.

We do not receive, store, or process this data on external servers.

Audio Recordings & Transcriptions

If you choose to record audio logs:

• Recordings are saved locally on your device

• Transcriptions are generated on-device using system speech recognition

• Audio and text are not transmitted to SeventeeSeven Ltd

• No recordings are accessed by us

You control all recording actions.

Data Storage

All app content is stored in the app’s private storage on your device.

This includes:

• Mission journals

• Audio logs

• Transcriptions

• Beacon counters and session data

If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from your device unless you have exported it yourself.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, transmit, or otherwise distribute user data.

Any export or sharing of logs is initiated by you using iOS share features and is under your control.

Analytics & Tracking

The Wretched Companion does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

No usage data is collected.

Third-Party Services

The app relies only on Apple’s iOS system frameworks for:

• Audio recording

• On-device speech recognition

• File storage

• Share sheet export

These operate according to Apple’s platform privacy protections.

Children’s Privacy

The app does not collect personal data and is safe for general audiences.

It is not directed at children under 13.

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated.
